Intercultural Studies Minor
Today's students will live and work within a increasingly multicultural world. Intercultural Studies is a challenging program of courses on the theme of intercultural contact, systems of power and privilege, and inter-group dynamics. This interdisciplinary series of courses is designed to challenge a monocultural perpsective from the position of privilege. You will discuss ideas and concerns with fellow students from different cultural backgrounds. You will understand the shifting boundaries of culture, nation, race, ethnicity, and institutional structures that shape contemporary social life. Your awareness of the relationship between culture and identity will provide you with a valuable and practical perspective upon graduation.
