Assistant Professor of Marketing
The Department of Business Administration and Economics at Saint Mary’s College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Marketing beginning in August 2010. Candidates must hold (or be at completion of) an earned doctorate (i.e., Ph.D. or DBA). We seek candidates who have a passion for undergraduate teaching. We are especially interested in candidates who have demonstrated excellence in teaching International Marketing, as well as Sales Management, Advertising, Entrepreneurship, and Principles of Marketing. Business experience in a marketing environment is also desirable.
This position is accompanied by a New Faculty Scholars grant funded by the Lilly Endowment, Inc. This grant includes a one course load reduction each semester for the first year of the individual’s appointment and a one course load reduction in the individual’s second year. The grant also includes start-up money for establishing a research program in the first two years.

Department of Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics at Saint Mary’s College is accepting applications for a tenure-track position to begin in August 2010. Requirements include a Ph.D. in mathematics or computer science. The ideal candidate will be a broadly trained mathematician or computer scientist with an expressed, preferably demonstrated, interest in teaching at the undergraduate level, including computer science courses, calculus, and statistics. Duties beyond teaching include individual consultation with students, directing undergraduate mathematics projects, appropriate scholarly and professional activities, and college service. Numerous opportunities exist for teaching, consulting, and research collaborations across campus as well as in the community. In addition to being strongly committed to undergraduate teaching, viable candidates must demonstrate their potential to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching, research and scholarly activity, and service.

The Department of Nursing, Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana, invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in nursing beginning August, 2010. Saint Mary’s College, the nation’s premier Catholic women’s college, was founded by the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1844 and is located in Notre Dame, Indiana. Candidates must be eligible for nursing licensure in Indiana. Expectations include coordination and teaching in the women’s health/perinatal undergraduate nursing course. The successful candidate should also expect to develop an active research program. A strong commitment to undergraduate education of women, a liberal arts education, and service to the Department and the College is expected.
