Assistant Professor of Spanish
The Department of Modern Languages at Saint Mary’s College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor to begin in August of 2012. We are seeking a candidate who can teach Spanish for heritage speakers as well as advanced language and/or survey courses. Field of Specialization is open. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience teaching Spanish for heritage speakers and/or who are heritage speakers themselves. Interest and/or experience in Latino/a Studies would be considered a plus. Teaching responsibilities include 3 courses (11-12 credit hours). Candidate is expected to participate in student advising and other department-related activities. The candidate should demonstrate excellence in undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts environment as well as scholarly promise. Ideal applicants will hold a PhD in Spanish by August 2012 (ABD considered) and have teaching experience. Candidates with a Masters in Spanish with appropriate teaching experience will be considered for an appointment as a Lecturer. Department of Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics at Saint Mary’s College is accepting applications for a one year, non tenure-track position at the Lecturer or Visiting Assistant Professor level to begin in August, 2012. Requirements include a minimum of an M.A. or M.S. in mathematics (Ph. D. for Assistant Professor level) with experience teaching undergraduate courses in mathematics. The primary responsibility is teaching lower division mathematics courses, particularly those that meet outcomes of Saint Mary’s general education program. In addition, duties include individual consultation with students and assistance with undergraduate projects in mathematics.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF NURSING
Tenure Track Position
The Department of Nursing, Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana, invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in nursing beginning August 2012. Saint Mary's College, the nation’s premier Catholic women’s college, was founded by the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1844 and is located in Notre Dame, Indiana. Its mission is to educate women in the liberal arts tradition, focusing on intellectual vigor, religious sensibility, aesthetic appreciation, and social responsibility. Applicants must hold (or be at completion of) a PhD in nursing science or a Doctor of Nursing Practice program, and hold a concentration or a master’s degree in psychiatric/mental health nursing. Candidates must be eligible for nursing licensure in Indiana. Previous teaching experience is desirable. Expectations include didactic and clinical teaching in psychiatric/mental health nursing with undergraduate students. Experience working with part time clinical faculty is highly desirable. The successful candidate should also expect to develop an active program of scholarship. A strong commitment to undergraduate education of women, a liberal arts education, and service to the Department and the College is expected.
