Belles Fall in Tight Match to #8 Hope

HOLLAND, Mich. - The Saint Mary's College volleyball team fell in a tough 3-2 (25-9, 25-19, 20-25, 21-25, 15-10) decision to #8 Hope College.
After dropping the first two sets, the Belles fought back to tie the match at two sets apiece. The Flying Dutch, however, would prevail 15-10 in the final decisive set.
Andrea Sasgen led the Belles with 13 kills while sporting a .481 hitting percentage. Lorna Slupczynski was right behind her with 12 kills of her own while earning the double-double with 18 digs. Meghann Rose led the match with 27 digs as five Belles notched at least 10 digs.
The Belles have nearly a week off until their next match, which is at home against Olivet on Tuesday, September 22 at 7:00 p.m.
