The 2007-08 swimming/diving squad had a break-out season with numerous swimmers apart of new College records while helping the squad post their best season in six year.

The Belles set six new Saint Mary's records over the course of the season while posting five dual meet victories. They also finished fifth at the MIAA championships which was the best showing they have posted since 2001.

Melissa Gerbeth has helped spearhead the Belles resurgence. The senior has won back-to-back titles in the 1650 freestyle event at the league championships which has earned her All-Conference honors.

Recently a diving squad was added onto the program to increase the Belles presence among the upper echelon in the league.

Led by first-year head coach and alumna Alicia Dombkowski, the classroom has been a source of pride as the Belles have consistently produced a strong GPA and in four of the last six years have earned a spot on the MIAA honor roll.
