Erin Sullivan

Erin Sullivan enters her seventh season at the helm of the Belles softball program in the 2011-12 school year.

During the 2006 campaign she guided Saint Mary's to their most wins in school history (28) while posting a third place finish in MIAA play.  In 2007, Sullivan's squad finished the season with the highest winning percentage in program history with a .735 clip (25-9 record). 

The 2008 Belles squad had their highest finish in MIAA play ever as the team finished the regular season in second place with a record-high 12 wins. 

The 2010 squad set many school and conference records. Sullivan's team led the MIAA in batting average (.373) and set the MIAA record for most total bases (253) as well as setting the second highest number of hits in conference history with 176, just three hits short of the record. Last spring, the program had their sixth consecutive 20+ win season.

During Sullivan's tenure, the Belles have had four pitchers throw six no-hitters since 2006.  Moreover, Sullivan has coached 11 All-MIAA players, two MIAA MVP, a two-time MIAA Batting Champion, four NFCA All-Region athletes, 26 NFCA Scholar Athletes, and a two-time All-American in six seasons.

Coach Sullivan is a 2004 alumna of Saint Mary’s where she was a four-year starter.  During her senior year she captained the softball team to their first ever MIAA Softball Tournament Championship. She was the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Batting Champion and the Offensive Player of the Year in 2004. She also earned her Master's in Business Administration from the University of Saint Francis (Ind.) in 2010.

Coach Sullivan was a National Fastpitch Coaches Association Academic All-American for 2003 and 2004.

Assistant Coach


Karen Keve

 

Karen Keve enters her seventh season with the Belles softball program. She is originally from New Jersey, where she attended Rutgers College. She graduated in 1981 with a degree in Psychology and Elementary and Special Education. She was a member of the Rutgers softball team from 1978-1980. Coach Keve has been involved in travel softball for several years. She has coached the Harris Heat 14U team to an ASA State Class B Championship and served as a Board Member for the Michiana Mystique.

Coach Keve is married to Ed Keve. They have four children and reside in Granger.

 

 

Assistant Coach



Claire DeVreese

 

Claire DeVreese enters her second season with the Belles softball program. She is a native of Mishawaka and attended Mishawaka High School.

Coach DeVreese attended the University of Illinois, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management where she was a member of the Fighting Illini Softball team.

Coach DeVreese was a four year-starter and over the course of here career she led the Illini in wins (20), innings pitched (223) and strikeouts (146), as well as setting a new career record for appearances (163) in 2008. She ranked 93rd nationally in saves (2). In 2006 she appeared in 54 of 55 games, leading the Big Ten in total appearances.
