Erin Sullivan

Erin Sullivan is in her fifth season at the helm of the Belles softball program.

During the 2006 campaign she guided Saint Mary's to their most wins in school history (28) while posting a third place finish in MIAA play.  In 2007, Sullivan's squad finished the season with the highest winning percentage in program history with a .735 clip (25-9 record). 

The 2008 Belles squad had their highest finish in MIAA play ever as the team finished the regular season in second place with a record-high 12 wins.  Last spring, the program had their fourth consecutive 20+ win season.

During Sullivan's tenure, the Belles have had four pitchers throw six no-hitters since 2006.  Moreover, Sullivan has coached seven All-MIAA players, an MIAA MVP, an MIAA Batting Champion, three NFCA All-Region athletes, over 20 NFCA Scholar Athletes, and an All-American in four seasons.

Sullivan is a 2004 alumna of Saint Mary’s where she was a four-year starter.  During her senior year she captained the softball team to their first ever MIAA Softball Tournament Championship. She was the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Batting Champion and the Offensive Player of the Year in 2004.

Erin was a National Fastpitch Coaches Association Academic All-American for 2003 and 2004.

Karen Keve

 

Coach Keve enters her fifth season with the Belles softball program. She is originally from New Jersey, where she attended Rutgers College. She graduated in 1981 with a degree in Psychology and Elementary and Special Education. She was a member of the Rutgers softball team from 1978-1980. Coach Keve has been involved in travel softball for several years. She has coached the Harris Heat 14U team to an ASA State Class B Championship and served as a Board Member for the Michiana Mystique.

Coach Keve is married to Ed Keve. They have four children and reside in Granger.

 

 

Assistant Coach

  

Ashley Fusaro

 

Ashley Fusaro enters her first year as an assistant coach with the Belles. Fusaro is a 2009 Saint Mary's graduate where she started all four years as catcher. Over the course of her four year career, Fusaro achieved a 98-44 record, and was a vital part of some of the most successful teams in program history including: most wins in school history ('06), highest winning percentage ('07), and a second place MIAA regular season finish, the highest ever for the Belles ('08).

Fusaro also saw success on the individual level. Her many accolades include, a two-year team captain, tied for single season home runs, second in career home runs, fourth in career hits, and third in career RBIs. Fusaro earned Second Team All-MIAA and MIAA Player of the Week accolades as a freshman, and was awarded with the Don Miller Belles Varsity Club Award as a senior.

Fusaro is a native of Kalispell, Montana. She has a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics.

 

Student Assistant Coach

   

Patty Duffy

 

Patty is in her first year of helping out with the Belles softball team. She is a native of Chicago, Illinois and is a junior nursing major at the College. Patty has been very involved with Saint Mary's Athletics, having lettered in both basketball and soccer.  This past fall, she was the starting goalkeeper for the soccer team. She has also served as a student athletic trainer for most of the varsity athletic teams.
