In both 2005 and 2006 the Belles soccer program posted a pair of firsts since joining the MIAA. After posting a College best 10 league wins during the 2005 season, Saint Mary’s followed that by hosting a first-round game in the MIAA Tournament in 2006.

In each of the last five seasons, at least one player has represented Saint Mary’s as a member of the First-Team All-Conference squad. Caryn Mackenzie, who is in her fourth year in charge of the Belles program, was named the MIAA co-Coach of the Year after the 2005 season.

During the summer of 2007, the squad went on a 10-day adventure in England and Scotland were they trained with UEFA coaches in addition to playing four games against some of the top competition in Europe.

A success in the classroom as well, members of the Belles soccer program have help the squad earn MIAA academic team GPA honors in two of the last four seasons with a cumulative mark of 3.3 or better
