Team Updates:

  • Soccer lost game and played Illinois Tech on Friday
  • Vball lost to Calvin – tournament @ Manchester this weekend
  • Golf lost on Saturday – then won – winning overall – O’Brien Open this weekend
  • Cross Country beat Goshen

2 MIAA Reps for this year:

  • Nov. 2nd (Tuesday) – Albion – Rosie and Christine
  • Feb. 8th (Conference Call)
  • April 13th

SAB

  • Email from Taylor Paton
  • Get SMC community more involved
  • Pep Rallies, Raffles, SAAC take initiative for sports

SGA

  • Talked about Co-Exes – looking for solutions
  • Bylaw for Sponsorship – for clubs – off campus discounts for food places for students

Halloween Party – October 10th - 12:30-3 (for athletes so far)

  • Each team start thinking of crafts/ideas
  • Grace called Renee

Sister Teams:

  • Vball & BBall – Bball went to Vball game – make signs
  • Soccer & Tennis
  • XC & Softball
  • Swimming & Golf

Team –to-Team support – all athletes

Community Service – at least 2 events (1 on and 1 off)

  • All must participate
  • Coach participation
  • Be approved
  • XC – 5k Race to Zero Next weekend
  • Bball – Unity Gardens downtown – gardening and painting

New ideas for this year: Athletes activity night, Athlete of the Week –Door Decs/emails, SAAC picture, etc.

  • Golf – Sun/Mon( 1pm & 8pm) -  @ HOME O’Brien National Invitational – Warren Golf Course (Only home match)
