Saint Mary's College marks Black History Month with the screening of the documentary “The Souls of Black Girls” and a question-and-answer opportunity with the producer, Daphne S. Valerius. The film examines the relationship between the historical and existing media images of women of color and it's potential effect on black girls/women. Valerius and Marissa Murphy ’10 with the Sisters of Nefertiti, the student club that invited her to campus, were interviewed the morning of the event.
