The Quest Project Fall Lecture Series Promises Thought-Provoking Talks on the Interaction of Faith and Reason

August 8, 2008 (Notre Dame, Ind.)— The Quest Project, operated by the Saint Mary’s College Center for Spirituality (CFS), presents its fall lecture series, which is free and open to the public. World-renowned scholars will come to Saint Mary's to share their wisdom on contemporary religious issues, and to address broader issues of how faith and reason interact. The series is jointly sponsored by a grant from the John Templeton Foundation and the Saint Mary's College Annual Endowed Lecture Series Fund.

The Practice of Spirituality and the Practice of Medicine: Worlds Apart or Overlapping?
Speaker: Harold Koenig, M.D., M.HSc, Professor, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Associate Professor, Medicine, Duke University Medical Center and founding co-director of the Center for Spirituality, Theology and Health, Duke University Medical Center

The Quest for the Living God
Speaker: Elizabeth Johnson, CSJ, Distinguished Professor, Theology, Fordham University

Theories of Emerging Complexities: A Theological Approach to the QUESTion
Speaker: Rev. Dr. Antje Jackelén, Past Director of the Zygon Center for the Study of Science and Religion and current Bishop of Lund, Sweden. She is the first woman bishop in the Church of Sweden.
