July 25, 2008 (Notre Dame, Ind.)—Saint Mary’s College is pleased to announce Bruce Fink, CFA, as the director of investments, a new position at the College which reports to the vice president for finance and administration. In this role Fink will manage the College’s investments, including its endowment, by working closely with the Board of Trustees’ Investment Committee and external endowment advisors and managers to ensure investment performance meets or exceeds expectations. He will also be responsible for cash management for the College.
“The College created the director of investments position in light of our growing endowment and because this is a new era of heightened due diligence in managing investments,” said Laurie Stickelmaier, the vice president for finance and administration. “We are delighted to have Bruce, with his extensive experience with investment management, join the College. The addition of Bruce’s expertise to our investment program helps ensure a strong financial future for Saint Mary’s College.”

Fink earned a Master of Arts degree in applied economics from the University of Central Florida and a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Akron. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
“Saint Mary’s College is a community with deep tradition, a long history of excellence and a powerful vision for the future. I am very excited to be here and look forward to contributing to the continued success of the College and its mission,” said Fink, who began his position on July 21.
