5:30pm Stapleton Lounge; A Conversation with Dr. Jamillah Karim.

Dr. Karim's research interests include Islam and Muslims in the U.S., Islamic Feminism, Race and Ethnicity, and Immigration and Transnational Identity.

She is the author of American Muslim Women: Negotiating Race, Class, and Gender within the Ummah which examines what it means to negotiate Islamic ideals of community (Ummah) against America's race and class hierarchies.
