A strong Annual Fund means that Saint Mary's can continue to offer students an excellent education without dramatic increases in tuition or eroding the strength of the endowment.

Saint Mary's College has always been ahead of its time. The importance of an institution dedicated to the advancement of women has never been more evident. The atmosphere of participation, encouragement, and collaboration that the College has cultivated for 162 years is the aspiration of institutions of higher education today.
Saint Mary's alumnae enter the world prepared to pursue the path of their choosing. Saint Mary's changes its students by offering them an intellectually, spiritually, and socially enriching college experience. Alumnae change the world with the lives they make for themselves and others.
Your contribution, small or large, continues the Saint Mary's tradition of educating women and transforming lives.
Legacy of Powerful Women:
Founders of the College, the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, gave Saint Mary's a strong foundation on which to build a solid institution. Saint Mary's, which was entrusted to them for so many years, is now the responsibility of her alumnae.
Strong Academic Reputation:
The U.S. News & World Report ratings affirm our
commitment to our students—this year we are ranked first among the nation's 107 "Best Midwest Comprehensive Colleges" offering bachelor degrees. Saint Mary's has earned a number one ranking 11 of the last 12 years, and has ranked among the top ten in its category of more than 100 institutions since the survey began in 1985.
Participation Matters:
Alumnae participation was 32% in the 2005-2006 academic year. The percentage of alumnae or alumni giving is one of the factors used to compare peer institutions. It is interpreted as a good indication of alumane satisfaction with their alma mater. Increasing our alumnae giving participation will increase Saint Mary's standing in publications like U.S. News & World Report, which many prospective students use to determine where they will attend college.
