Women's Studies Minor
The Women's Studies program encourages students to examine and analyze women's lives and the constructions of gender. You will investigate the intersectionalities of gender, race, class, sexualities, and other identity categories from historical and contemporary transnational perspectives. Through the program's interdisciplinary approach to the study of women, gender, and sexuality, you will investigate different forms of power, inequality, and privilege. The women's studies program nurtures the social awareness and responsibility of individuals, and prepares students for careers in human services, activism and advocacy, education, law and public policy, and business, among many others.
