Requirements

Majors may earn a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a major in History. The department has long encouraged dual majors, combining history with another discipline. The interdepartmental major with humanistic studies may omit the course requirements of Division II.


Bachelor of Arts, Major in History (30-32 hours)

  • HIST 101-102 The Development of Western Civilization I, II; or HIST 103-104 World Civilization I, II
  • HIST 495 Senior Seminar (for students completing Advanced Writing and Senior Comp in History)
