Majors may earn a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a major in Economics.
BACHELOR OF ARTS
Major in Economics—ECON (33 hours)
All of the following are required:
- ECON 251 Principles of Macroeconomics
- ECON 252 Principles of Microeconomics
- ECON 351 Intermediate Macroeconomics
- ECON 352 Intermediate Microeconomics
- ECON 495 Senior Economic Seminar
- BUAD 341 Statistical Application
Four of the following (3 hours minimum, each) are required:
- ECON 354 Economic Development
- ECON 356 Comparative Economic Systems
- ECON 357 Public Sector Economics
- ECON 358 Labor Economics
- ECON 451 History of Economic Thought
- ECON 452 International Trade and Finance
- ECON 490 Special Topics in Economics
- ECON 497 Independent Study
Required Supporting Course:
- MATH 114 Introduction to Statistics
