What's New at the Library?

Welcome Back, Students!

Welcome back to campus, everyone, and a special welcome to our incoming Class of 2014! We hope your summer was fun and restful, and that you're ready for an exciting new academic year here at Saint Mary's!

In response to student requests, we have collected some fun books in our new Leisure Reading Collection, located just inside the front doors to the library. Stop by and check out a book to take your mind off your classwork!

And of course, don't forget to stop by when you have a research assignment this semester -- remember, to get help at the library, all you have to do is ask!

Group Study Rooms!

Need a place to study with friends? We have several group study rooms available here in the library!

There are three rooms on the First Mezzanine (next floor up from the first floor) at the back of the building, and two rooms on the 2nd floor near the front of the building. Each room has a chalkboard, and one of the rooms on the 2nd floor has a TV with a VCR/DVD player for group viewings of videos!

All rooms are first-come, first-served, so play fair and let your classmates have a chance to use them, too. And good luck on your finals from your friends at the Cushwa-Leighton Library!

You've seen them in libraries around the country: the famous READ posters, featuring celebrities and their favorite books. Now, in honor of National Library Week, the Cushwa-Leighton Library is proud to unveil our own series of READ posters, featuring local celebrities: our senior student workers!

The series of four posters highlights the contributions of our student workers to the smooth operation of the library -- view the complete series of posters to see all our graduating seniors, and be sure to thank our loyal students when you see them!
