
Over the past six years the Belles have been the toast of not only the our athletic programs, but have been among the best teams in the MIAA.
During the 2007-2008 season, Katie O'Brien claimed the league's top golfing honor as she was named the Season Medalist. The freshman class posted the second best adjusted scoring average in the nation according to Golfstat.
Since joining the league, 14 different golfers have earned All-Conference honors. From 2002-2005 Saint Mary’s claimed four consecutive league titles and competed in three NCAA Division III Championships. During the 2003 championships, Stefanie Simmerman took home the individual title in becoming the College’s first National Champion in any sport at any level.
In the August 2006 issue of Golf Digest the Saint Mary’s program was rated the third best program in the entire nation when combining both academic and golf success beating out the likes of Duke, Penn and Harvard.
Heading into his seventh season as the head coach, Mark Hamilton has coached four different players to the MIAA Season Medalist honor while building this program to be among the best in the nation.
