The English department formalized its Internship Program in the fall of 2001 with the appointment of Professional Writing Specialist Carla Johnson as the program's coodinator. Since then, Dr. Johnson has placed dozens of interns in academic-year and summer internships and received three summer grants from INC@SMC to expand the program's opportunities.
With Dr. Johnson's retirement in May 2008, students will be able to access information regarding internships via this Web site. Support for internships will continue through the English department faculty and chair.
