NORTHFIELD, MN – Megan Gray finished her historic 2007 season at the NCAA Division III National Championships by running the 6K event in 22:21 to finish 38th overall at the Skoglund Athletic Fields hosted by St. Olaf College.
Gray just missed out on earning All-American status with that honor going to the top 35 runners.
GRAND RAPIDS, MI – For the second consecutive year Saint Mary’s cross country runner Megan Gray qualified for the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships by placing fourth at the Great Lakes Regional Championships Saturday morning with a time of 21:48. The 6K event was hosted on the campus of Calvin College.
As a team the Belles finished 15th in the 68 team field. Calvin won the team championship with a team score of 46 while Esther Erb from Case Western won the individual title with a time of 21:13.
Cross Country - Saint Mary’s Posts School Best Finish; Gray Sets School Record (October 24)
ALBION, MI – At the MIAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning, Saint Mary’s posted a school best finish of fourth place with 99 team points. The previous best finish in College history was a fifth place finish during the 2006 season.
Calvin won the event with 19 points with Christina Overbeck, also from Calvin, winning the individual title with a time of 22:03.

Cross Country - Saint Mary’s Takes Third at Manchester Invitational; Gray Takes Individual Title (October 13)
N. MANCHESTER, IN – The Saint Mary’s cross country team finished third in the eight team field at the Manchester Invitational on Saturday afternoon with a score of 70 points. Megan Gray won the individual title at the race for the second straight year with a time of 18:26 over the 5K course.
Samantha Wieczorek finished in the top 10 overall with a tenth place finish, running the course in 19:39. Megan McClowry was the third finisher for the Belles, ending the race in 13th with a time of 19:57.

Cross Country - Belles Win Benedictine Invitational; Gray Takes Individual Crown (October 5)
LISLE, IL – The Saint Mary’s cross country squad won the Benedictine Invitational with a score of 40 while Megan Gray ran the 6K course in 23:59 to claim the individual title.
The Belles placed three runners in the top 10 lead by Gray’s first place finish. Sam Wieczorek was fifth overall with a time of 25:21 while Catie Salyer placed ninth, running the course in 26:00.

Cross Country - Belles Place Ninth at Sean Earl Invite (September 29)
The Saint Mary’s cross country team scored 266 points and placed ninth out of 21 teams on Saturday afternoon at the Sean Earl Invitational hosted by Loyola University.
Leading the way for the Belles was Megan Gray who ran the 5K course in 19:02 in placing ninth overall in the individual race with 286 runners.

Cross Country - Belles Post School Best Finish (September 22)
The Saint Mary’s cross country notched a fourth place finish at the MIAA Jamboree on Saturday morning hosted by Tri-State University at the Zoller Golf Course. Calvin won the event with a perfect score 15.
Since beginning competition in the MIAA during the 1999 season, the Belles have never finished higher than fifth at the Jamboree until this mornings race.

Cross Country - Belles Finish 7th at Aquinas (September 7)
In their second meet of the season the Saint Mary’s cross country team finished seventh out of nine teams at the Aquinas Invitational Friday evening. Grand Valley State won the event.
Megan Gray took top honors for the Belles running the 5K course in 20:09 finishing 36th overall.

In the first cross country meet of the season for all three teams involved, the Belles posted victory over Grace College and Tri-State in claiming the Tri-State Invitational.
