As a Saint Mary’s graduate, you will enter the job market not as a novice, but as a seasoned communicator with practical real-world experience under your belt. There is virtually no limit to the variety of career options open to a communication studies major, from performance-related careers to working in the media, advertising, or public relations industries.

Monica Mastracco, '08, B.A. with a major in communication studies. Monica is an intern for the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute in Washington, DC where she works in event planning, media/marketing, and development.

Brittany Taylor, '08, B.A. with a major in communication studies. Brittany is an intern at the marketing and community relations department with the Tampa Bay Rays in Tampa, FL.

Brittany Hartford, ’07, B.A. with a major in communication studies. Brittany is doing inside sales for the NHL Phoenix Coyotes.

Sarah Vabulas, '06, B.A. with a major in communication studies. Sarah lives in Atlanta and is the District Scheduler, Deputy Press Secretary and Field Representative for Congressman Tom Price, M.D. who represents the Sixth District of Georgia in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Michelle Eggers Lagos, ’05, B.A. with major in communication studies and english writing. Michelle is a Marketing and Business Specialist for an architecture firm in San Francisco, Calif.

Ashley Thornburg, ’05, B.A. with a major in communication studies. Ashley is graduating with her master’s in Sports Administration from Indiana University and is working in Membership Services for the NCAA.

Molly Welton, ’05, B.B.A. with majors in accounting and communication studies. Molly went on to get her master’s in Accounting at Villanova, and is now a Senior Accountant at Ernst & Young in Boston, Mass.

Stephanie Artnak, ’04, B.A. with majors in communication studies and political science. Stephanie graduated from law school and has accepted a position as an attorney for Barnes & Thornburg in South Bend in their Business, Tax, and Real Estate Department.

Amy Greene, ’03, B.A. with a major in communication studies. Amy graduated from the University of Toledo College of Law and is now working for Thomson-West.

Karen Schaff, ’03, B.A. with a major in communication studies. Karen went on to get her master’s in Exercise and Sports Science and is currently employed with the North Carolina University Athletic Department.

Hayley Dawson-Owens, ’02, B.A. with majors in communication studies and psychology. Hayley went on to earn her Ph.D. (2005) in Psychology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and is now a Senior Project Director for the Medical Research Team at Decision Analyst Inc. in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, area.

Jill Maciejewski Martin, '02, B.A. with a major in communication studies. Jill is a Project Manager of Web Design at Lightsky in Goshen, Ind.

Paula Fitzpatrick, ’01, B.A. in communication studies. Paula is a Resident Services Coordinator for Cathedral Square Senior Living in Burlington, Vt.
