Lindsey Brazys |
Major: Chemistry with a Biochemistry Concentration After Saint Mary's: Indiana University Law School - Bloomington, IN Department Service: Chemistry 101 Teaching Assistant and Grader Research: Summer research (2004) done at the University of Notre Dame under the guidance of Dr. S. Alex Kandel. This physical chemistry lab uses scanning tunneling microscopes to look at molecules on the nanoscale. In her research specifically, she looked at Copper Phthalocyanine molecules on a Au(111) surface to study their interactions. This research was a preliminary experiment for a more advanced research project in molecular electronics. Senior Comprehensive Presentation: Study of the Interaction of Copper Phthalocyanine Molecules with an Au(111) Surface using STM Other activities: Lindsey was also the Student Activities Board Treasurer and Spirit Chair as well as a member of the Notre Dame Pre-Law Society. She was SMAACS treasurer.
