Alison KesslerBoth on the court and off, the Saint Mary's basketball program is setting a standard that is not only getting recognized within the region but also on a national level.

Recent graduate Alison Kessler was named the MIAA and Great Lakes Region Player of the Year. The Belles all-time leading scorer also became the College's first basketball All-American after posting a stellar senior campaign during the 2007-2008 season.

Saint Mary's has hosted a first round MIAA Tournament game the last three seasons. In two of those three seasons, the Belles have had a player score their 1,000th career point.

During the 2006-2007 season the Belles posted a team GPA of 3.41 which ranked them 18th in the nation among over 400 schools that compete at the Division III level. That academic mark was the best among all MIAA basketball programs.

Under the guidance of head coach Jenn Henley, the Saint Mary’s basketball squad is looking towards reaching new heights.
