The Madeleva SocietyThe Madeleva Society was founded in 1979 to honor Sister M. Madeleva Wolff, C.S.C. who served as president of Saint Mary's College from 1934 to 1961. She led Saint Mary's to national prominence as a Catholic institution offering a rigorous, value-centered education in the liberal arts tradition. As a tribute to this remarkable woman, The Madeleva Society honors those whose gifts demonstrate outstanding annual commitment to the Saint Mary's tradition of educational excellence.
Members of The Madeleva Society may designate their gifts to support any area of the College, including the Annual Fund for student scholarships and financial aid. The College also offers named endowment opportunities to support scholarships, library funds, program support, and faculty positions. Gifts from Society members make scholarships possible for students, provide the funding to expand and preserve our campus, support faculty-student research projects, support immersion learning experiences, and more.
You take a leadership role when you commit to The Madeleva Society, demonstrating your belief in our mission and ensuring the future of the College. Membership is based on your total giving to all areas of the College within the fiscal year from June 1 to May 31.
