Scholarship Matters

Saint Mary’s students are dedicated to changing the world. Saint Mary’s provides the academic foundation and spiritual focus they need to build a better tomorrow. But you provide the scholarship and financial aid that sets it all in motion

The majority of our students can only afford a quality Saint Mary’s education through your support. When you make a gift to the Annual Fund, your support goes directly and immediately to for scholarship and financial aid. Quite simply, their future is in your hands.

And with your support, their future is filled with the best opportunities. See for yourself how they are already helping bring real change to our communities. ..

Building Stronger Communities

Sarah Dalton ’09 fell in love with Saint Mary’s College on a warm, autumn day. “I knew that Saint Mary’s was the school for me when I came for Fall Day and heard President Mooney say that there has never been a Saint Mary’s woman who doesn’t work hard and play hard,” says Sarah.

For Sarah, the best part of being a student at Saint Mary’s is being able to make changes on campus. “There aren’t many colleges that give students the chance to impact campus like Saint Mary’s does. From Dance Marathon to the Student Environmental Action Coalition with their recycling program, we are making a difference here and helping make things better.” Read more.

She joined the group as a first year student. Today, she leads the Agribusiness Development Group (ADG), a project of the SIBC.

The group’s mission is simple: use innovative business solutions to improve the lives of remote and impoverished communities around the world. The solutions themselves are more complicated. Read more.

Innovative Health Care

Andrea Krebs ’09 loves the sciences because they are the hardest subjects. The recent graduate immersed herself in academics during her four years at Saint Mary’s, but she found her passion in the biology department.

“Genetics sold me on biology. I could imagine myself as a genetic counselor, talking with families who find out they are expecting a child with a genetic disorder,” says Andrea. It was after taking Concepts of Biology and Introduction to Genetics with Tom Fogle that Andrea declared biology as her major. Read more.
