Sheila Conlin Brown '56
Sheila Conlin Brown graduated in 1956 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition, and served as a dietetic intern in Hines VA Hospital in Illinois in 1957. Sheila served as a clinical dietitian at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton, Illinois, from 1970 to 1983 and as a consulting dietitian for various nursing homes from 1983 to 1990. She and her husband, Dick (ND ’56) reside in Princeton, Illinois. They are the parents of five children and have twelve grandchildren. Sheila’s past involvement with Saint Mary’s includes: serving as co-chair of Special Gifts for the Sesquicentennial Campaign; Reunion Gift Campaign Committee for her 45th reunion; and also served on the Madeleva Steering Committee. Her community service involved serving as a past board member for Covenant Children’s Home and also a volunteer for the Mobile Meals Program.

Jill Moore Clouse ’99
Jill Moore Clouse ’99, graduated with a major in History and a minor in Psychology. After graduation, she moved to Chicago and worked in the corporate world in a human resources/business development capacity. She has her Master’s Degree in Higher Education Policy and Administration from Northwestern University and currently works part-time for the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern in Career Management as well as for the School of Education at Northwestern as a Career and Academic Advisor. She currently serves as a Board Member for the Chicago East Alumnae Club. Jill and her husband live in downtown Chicago and have a two-year-old son and infant daughter.

Nora Barry Fischer '73
Nora Barry Fischer ’73 graduated magna cum laude, with a B.A. in History and Humanistic Studies. She received a Juris Doctorate from Notre Dame Law School in 1976 and was admitted to practice in Illinois, Pennsylvania and West Virginia; Third Circuit Court of Appeals; U.S. District Courts of Northern District of Illinois; Western District of Pennsylvania; Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia; and United States Supreme Court. She was Case Manager on the Executive Committee at Meyer, Darragh, Buckler, Bebenek & Eck from 1987 to 1991. She is a former National Institute of Trial Advocacy Instructor for the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and Duquesne University School of Law. Nora was a Partner and Practice Group Leader with Pietragallo, Bosick & Gordon. She is currently the District Court Judge for the Western District of Pennsylvania, sitting in Pittsburgh. Nora and her husband Donald have three children.

Linda Kawecki ’79
Linda Kawecki ’79 received her B.B.A. with a major in Accounting and a minor in Math and Computer Science. She also earned an M.B.A. degree from Southern Methodist Universit in 1989. From 1990 through 2005, she was the Director of Financial Analysis for Tenet Healthcare. Prior to that, she worked in public accountng and in the airline and utility industries. Linda has been active in the Saint Mary's Dallas Alumnae Clubover the past 20 years, serving as President and Vice President in the early 90s and most recently served a three-year term as Treasurer. Linda was involved with a county-wide AYouth Leadership Dallas program for 10th graders, but her current volunteerism is focused on the schools of her children. Linda's hobbies include traveling, cycling, and scrap booking. She and her husband Michael Hellinghausen reside in Dallas with their three children.

Sara Bateman Koehler ’70
Sara Bateman Koehler received her B.A. in Religious Studies and is active in the Indianapolis “Call to Action” and in her parish, where she teaches in the R.C.I.A. program. She also continues to teach Religious Studies at Cathedral High School, after serving as department chair there for 19 years. In addition to her participation in her Alumnae Reunion Gift Campaign, Sara has also been active in her Saint Mary’s Indianapolis Book Club, several club projects, and as a club officer in the 1990s. In 1998, she was named the Indianapolis Club “Alumna of the Year.” Sara likes to read and travel with her husband Ken who is a Manufacturer’s Representative. She and Ken have two daughters: Kathy, who lives in Indianapolis and Kelly, who lives in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.

LeeAnn Franks McConnell '85
LeeAnn Franks McConnell received a B.A. degree in Elementary Education from Saint Mary’s College, with a Kindergarten Endorsement. She also received an M.A. degree in Educational Administration from Western Michigan University in 1989, and certification in Elementary Principalship. She taught and served as a Principal for 10 years after graduation from Saint Mary’s. Now, she is a homemaker and a volunteer. LeeAnn is a member and past president of the Sturgis Council of the Arts, the Junior Women’s League and the Public Library Board. She also serves on the Sturgis Area Community Foundation, the Sturgis Hospital Foundation and is the Secretary of the Sturgis Board of Education. LeeAnn and her husband Brian one son.

Kathryn Wiedl Mettler '63
After graduation from Saint Mary's College, Kathryn Wiedl Mettler went on to Emory University School of Medicine where she completed her M.D. in 1981. Kathryn has Board Certification in Gastroenterology and in Internal Medicine. She is currently in private practice in Gastroenterology. She is an active member and leader of the medical staff at Northside Hospital in Atlanta where she was Chief of the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit from 1993 to 1995. She also served as clinical instructor in the Department of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine, and as a research assistant at Abbot Laboratories. Kathryn is a member of the Medical Associations of Atlanta and Georgia, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American College of Physicians. She is active with the Sandy Springs Society, the Atlanta Women's Fund, and supports Saint Mary's College through her active roles on her Reunion Gift committees, the Madeleva Society, and as presenter at the New Road - No Rules Seminar. Her hobbies are oil painting and gardening. Kathryn and her husband Stephen have three children and 13 grandchildren.

Adriana Garces Petty '01
Adriana Garces Petty graduated from Saint Mary’s College in 2001, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work. She served on the board of “Women in Touch” and the “Juneteenth” Planning Committee. She was a Minority Outreach Specialist at the Saint Joseph County Minority Health Coalition in South Bend, Indiana for four years. Adriana is currently the International Student and Scholar Coordinator in the Center for Women's Intercultural Leadership Program at Saint Mary's College.

Dawn Parker Santamaria '81
Dawn Parker Santamaria received a B.B.A. degree in Management and Marketing from Saint Mary's College in 1981. Since the mid-80s, she has been an entrepreneur and small business owner. She is the founder and executive director of Sisters Under Sail, a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit leadership program for teenage girls and women aboard her and her husband's 118-foot tall ship, Unicorn. She has worked in partnership with Saint Mary's for several years, bringing many alumnae together aboard her ship in the Great Lakes region and along the East Coast for leadership sails and receptions. Dawn resurrected the New Jersey alumnae club and has been serving as president since 2005. She has four daughters, two of whom are also Saint Mary's graduates. Dawn and her family reside in New Jersey.

Susan M. Suchy '89
Susan M. Suchy graduated from Saint Mary's College in 1989 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and is a C.P.A. She also earned an M.B.A. degree in Finance from DePaul University in 1997. Sue was very involved in the Chicago Alumnae Club in the early 90's, leading various networking activities and has also been involved in various Reunion Gift Campaigns. Sue has held progressive positions at Arthur Andersen, Information Resources and Sidley Austin LLP. While at Sidley Austin, Sue led the operational expansion efforts in the firm's overseas offices. Sue is now the Director of Administration of the Chicago and Minneapolis offices of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, a global law firm. Sue enjoys hiking, travel and reading and she resides in the Chicago area.

Kimmi Martin Troy '00
Kimmi Martin Troy graduated from Saint Mary’s College in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing. Kimmi is a homemaker. She and her husband Benjamin live in the Granger, Indiana area with their son and daughter.

Barbara Wolfston Urrutia '74
Barbara Wolfston Urrutia graduated from Saint Mary's College in 1974 with a B.S. in Biology and Medical Technology. She also has an M.B.A. degree in Business Management and Administrative Services from Santa Clara University. Barbara is a hospital account executive for Quest Diagnostics. She has served her community through the Junior League of San Francisco and her routine blood donations to the local Blood Bank. She has consistently supported and served Saint Mary's through her leadership as the San Francisco Alumnae Club president and her participation on the Madeleva Society Steering Committee, her Reunion Gift Campaigns, and the Sesquicentennial Gift Campaign. Barbara enjoys her role as the social chair at her local tennis club, run by volunteers. She and her husband Henry live in Redwood City, California.

Phyllis Sullivan Van Hersett '62
Phyllis Sullivan Van Hersett graduated in 1962 with a B.A. in Social Sciences and minors in Mathematics and Secondary Education. She began her career as a computer programmer for the Department of Defense at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. She established a career in real estate in Dallas, Texas, and Spokane, Washington. She is now an owner of Cornzapoppin, LLC, a gourmet popcorn store in Highlands Ranch, CO. Phyllis and her husband Richard reside in Littleton, CO. They have three children and four grandchildren. Their two daughters, Lynn and Joan, are Saint Mary's graduates.

Abagail Van Vlerah '04
Abby Van Vlerah ’04 graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Humanistic Studies and a double minor in American History and Italian. She earned her Master of Arts degree in American Studies with a concentration in Historic Preservation from the University of Wyoming in 2006. While completing her Master’s degree, she worked for the University of Wyoming’s Center for Volunteer Service as an AmeriCorps Member and then for the Campus Activities Center at UW. She returned to Saint Mary's College to work as Assistant Director of Student Activities and was active in the South Bend Alumnae Club and volunteered at the Center for the Homless in downtown South Bend during that time. Abby is currently the Director of Campus Safety at Trine University (the former Tri-State University), in Angola, Indiana.

Rebecca Votto '93
Rebecca Votto graduated in 1993 with a B.A. in Political Science. She earned a Master of Science degree in Public Service from DePaul University in 1998. Upon completion of her studies at DePaul, Rebecca began working in mergers and acquisitions. While living in Chicago, she was active in the Chicago Alumnae Club. Currently, Rebecca works for a boutique mergers and acquisition advisory firm in Newport Beach, CA. She is also actively involved in the Los Angeles Alumnae Club.

Karen McNamara Weaver '91
Karen McNamara Weaver graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a minor in Computer Science. She started her career in Information Technology after graduation. She is currently a software delivery manager and consultant with IBM Corporation in the Global Services division. During the eight years that she lived in Dallas, Karen held various leadership positions in the Dallas/Fort Worth Alumnae Club; including two years as President. She received the SMC Alumnae VISA award for 2001-2002 and is currently active in the Kansas City Alumnae Club. She and her husband David reside in Lee’s Summit, MO with their two daughters.
