
NORMAL, IL – In the opening round of the Illinois Wesleyan Spring Fling, Saint Mary’s shot a spring season low 329 as a team. With one round left in the two-day event, the Belles sit in sixth place and 15 team strokes out of the lead. The competition is taking place at Ironwood Country Club.
DePauw leads the event after shooting a 314. Meaghan Brennen of Ohio Northern leads the individual competition after firing a 73 in the opening round.
Katie O’Brien and Emily Gore led the way for Saint Mary’s after each of them carded an 80 which puts them tied for 15th overall.
Perri Hamma tallied an 84 to post the third best score for the Belles and is 38th overall. Rosie O’Conner posted an 85 and is 46th overall. Megan Lehr rounded out the scorers for Saint Mary’s with an 89 which places her 66th overall.
The event features 16 teams and 90 individuals.
