
NOTRE DAME, IN – Katie Mills scored what proved to be the equalizing goal in the 57th minute as Albion rallied to tie Saint Mary’s 1-1 Tuesday afternoon in MIAA soccer action.
Saint Mary’s record now stands at 5-1-3 and 1-0-1 in league play while Albion moves to 7-1-2 and 1-0-1 respectively.
The Belles got on the board first when Katie Wehrli took a feed up the middle from Mandy Thomson in the 42nd minute as Saint Mary’s took a one goal lead into halftime.
Mills' goal came off of a Lauren Baker pass that just got past Saint Mary’s goalie Amy Mahoney. Mills found the open net from just outside 10 yards.
The Britons outshot the Belles by a 14-7 margin but Saint Mary’s held a 2-1 edge in corner kicks.
ahoney made nine saves in goal for Saint Mary’s in the 110 minute contest.
